Botox is an FDA approved injectable treatment that improves the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines.

Botox is a neuromodulator that is injected into the muscle and used to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe forehead lines, crow's feet lines, and frown lines between the eyebrows. It works by blocking communication between the neurons that cause a muscle contraction. This results in relaxation of the muscle and allowing the skin not to bend or form a wrinkle.

A good candidate for Botox typically includes individuals in good general health and looking to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, especially around the forehead, eyes and mouth.

Results are often visible within 3-7 days after treatment, may take up to 14 days to take full effect. Individual experiences may vary. Results typically last between 3-6 months. Consistent follow-up for treatment can help maintain the desired aesthetic effects over time.

It is best to avoid taking NSAIDs (ibuprofen, aleve, advil), aspirin, fish oil two weeks prior to injection to reduce risk of bruising. Avoid scheduling facials for 2 weeks after Botox treatment.

Botox treatment is generally quick and simple. Please plan for a 30 minute visit for assessment and injections to be done.
